Physicians confess that the trial is not a cure to all the migraines, but concludes that if the trial was effective in 50 percent of those suffering from migraines with the heart defect, migraine; it could help many other sufferers. An apparatus have been invented to close and seal PFOs. It makes it way to the heart from a vein, and once at the defected area, the device is opened similar to an umbrella and presses on the sides of the wall and then closes and seals the PFO. This device is designed only to hold the walls together while the hole heals and then it is removed.
